Sign Up for the PSEO Registration Day Webinar

For students confirming or deferring

Signing up for the Registration Day Webinar is MANDATORY for all students who wish to confirm or defer their enrollment in PSEO. Sign up whether you're part- or full-time, starting in fall or spring, and even if you aren't sure you can attend synchronously (a recording will be made available).

Registration Day is your official launchpad into the UMN community, marking the moment you transition from an admitted student to an enrolled Gopher. Think of this mandatory sign-up for the Registration Day Webinar as your formal "yes" to the 2026-27 academic year, ensuring you have the green light to build your schedule starting July 28 (when registration opens to PSEO students).

What if I'm signing up after June 24?

  • June 25 through July 24 @ 1pm: Sign up using the link under the section above titled "How do I sign up?"
  • July 24 (after 1pm) through early August: Email the PSEO front desk team ([email protected]) and indicate you’d still like to participate in the program.
  • After Early August: It is no longer possible to sign up or take PSEO this year. Current juniors interested in taking 2027-2028 PSEO would have to reapply next year.

When is Registration Day?

The Registration Day Webinar will take place on July 28, 2026 from 9:00 - 11:00 am via Zoom.

What happens on Registration Day?

Advisors will present and then at 9:45 am, you can start registering. Advisors will stay in the Zoom until 11:00 am to answer questions, but you're welcome to leave after you've registered or had your questions answered. Advisors will hold optional Zoom appointments after this webinar to assist with quick registration questions. Details about signing up for these optional appointments will be emailed to students closer to July 28. See the full Registration Day schedule in the PSEO Student Handbook.

How do I sign up?

  1. Log in to the PSEO appointment system using your UMN Twin Cities internet ID and password. Wait for a few seconds until a list of questions appears.
  2. Answer a series of questions. If you took AP/IB courses or previous PSEO classes, have that information available.
  3. Use the calendar icon to view the Registration Day Webinar on July 28. 
  4. Check your UMN Twin Cities email account for a confirmation of your Registration Day Webinar sign-up, which also includes a Zoom link for the event. Contact the PSEO office immediately if you don't receive one.

Can I talk with an advisor before Registration Day?

Due to our small staff, advisors are unable to meet with students and families prior to the Registration Day Webinar. However, students will have the opportunity to collaborate with their assigned advisor through a shared planning sheet and Canvas discussion prior to the webinar and will be able to sign up for optional Zoom advising after the webinar.

What if I'm deferring to spring?

  • For now: Complete the PSEO Student Hub lessons and modules (see the What's Next page for details) and attend the Registration Day Webinar.
  • July 28:
    1. Important: Register for a class (literally any class), then immediately drop it. This does two things:
      • Activates you in our registration system. 
      • Gives you practice with our registration system, making spring registration smoother.
    2. Complete the PSEO Enrollment Status Change Form and indicate that you're deferring to spring semester.  
  • September 21: Last day to officially defer.
